This job was an internship for my spring 2021 semester at SMCM, and I learned all the important skills and tools I would need for pursuing Sustainable Agriculture. The different necessary skills I honed in on and learned while I was doing this internship were testing the compost to make sure it was at the right temperature, turning the compost to make sure it had the right texture so that growing could be possible, make more compost for the growing processes on the farm, planting seeds for the different crops that we were growing on the farm, creating an irrigation system that would then help all the crops grow using a natural water system on the farm (this would be something called a drip irrigation system. And finally I tested the soil PH of soils to make sure there were no unecessary or unsafe chemicals in the soil being used to help grow the crops on the farm
