- Participated in numerous engineering watches while underway and in port. Duties included sounding tanks, logging engine room parameters, and conducting engine room tours.
- Performed blowdowns on ship service diesel generators and ship service air receivers, assisted in engine room start/shutdown procedures of main engines, and cleaned various strainers.
- Operated ship milling machine, lathe, and reciprocating saw.
