  • Duties, Accomplishments and Related Skills :As a GS-7 USDA FSIS Food Inspector my duties to insure food safety and protect the public health consist of ante-mortem/post-mortem inspections on livestock animals. I determine if they are to be stamped condemned, suspected, or passed for further processing. During post-mortem inspections of livestock heads, viscera, and carcasses, I insure that no harmful biological bacteria like E-coli 0157-H7 or Listeria Monocytogenes enters commerce. In addition I make sure that no physical or chemical contamination or insanitary condition renders the head, viscera, or carcasses unfit for human consumption. I strongly participate in and enforce (SSOP’s) Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures, and (SPS) Sanitation Performance Standards procedures and policies. My responsibilities include monitoring operational sanitation activities to ensure sanitary conditions and carcass dressing procedures are in accordance with USDA regulatory requirements. I inspect general company sanitation procedures routinely while performing post mortems inspections. I enforce regulatory control actions utilizing USDA retain and reject tags when there is a non-compliance from regulatory requirements. My training includes (HACCP) Hazard Analysis Critical Control Points, and Humane Handling Inspections. My communications skills with my peers and co-workers is excellent when I identify and problem I address it promptly and notify the appropriate establishment supervisors and verify that the problem has been corrected. I have inspected in two hog slaughter plants and one beef slaughter plant.

checking for abnormalities, fecal, ingesta on the
hog. I worked inspecting the hogs that might be
harmful for human consumption. My inspection
consisted of the jowls, feet, legs, backs, stomachs,
cheek, heart, liver, kidneys, rectum, head, and any
other parts of the hog body to ensure it is free of any
abnormalities and contaminations so they can be
shipped for human consumption.

Production Line Worker

Vanguard Manufacturer of dry and refrigerated a
semi-trailer.
Production work include Assemble and manufacture
trailer components, such as frames, walls, and roof. I
worked on Side Table, area where we put together the
metal shits to make the walls of the trailer, using a rivet
gun and a long metal rail.
I did welded pieces to create the base to hold the
trailers. After the base was done, I apply coatings and
finish the trailer base, to protect the base for the
weather. I did assemble the air tank for the tires. I
installed decals depends on what the consumers'
needs. I worked on Pre-Finish I was making sure the
trailer meets all the requirements needs. include
cleaning, touch's up on paint, etc.
