- During my time at Jersey Mikes, I have learned a ton about food safety and customer service.
- At Jersey Mikes, I’m pushed to be an above average worker, or as they like to call it, 'A Sub Above'.
- I am held to a higher standard than most other fast food places and it has made me proficient in talking to and pleasing customers to make them return for another visit.
- From talking to customers about their day as I make their sub, to knowing their order before they even walk in the door and having it finished quickly.
- Jersey Mikes has made me a much more talkative person and it has made me enjoy having conversations with strangers while I give them what they need.
Lights Alive

- Lights Alive is a seasonal job I have come back to every year around Christmas time.
- There are so many positions there that it has taught me to be flexible with where I work and has helped me to learn things faster and on the fly.
- I have worked ticketing, light show traffic control, popcorn stand, photos with santa, inflatable games, santa's workshop, and my most common role, the snack bar.
- I’ve learned to deal with a little bit of everything from all of these roles, from food safety, to customer service.
- I’ve also worked in the warehouse for Lights Alive.
- This experience has enabled me to work with others when hauling heavy items and how to navigate these cluttered environments.
