  • If you are selected for hire, you will receive three separate emails:
  • 1. Offer Letter: Includes the plant location, hourly pay rate, and job title. (you must respond to this email within 3 days)
  • 2. Onboarding Information: Must be completed electronically with your personal details. “I9 Payroll and some basic personal information”.
  • 3. Flight Information: Includes your departure date and time, airline, and flight number from SeaTac Airport (Seattle, WA).

Helpful Items to Bring

Room & Board

Shift Information

  • Shifts are set before employees arrive
  • Employees are assigned to 12 hour shifts
  • Day shift From 6:00am to 6:00pm
  • Night shift From 6:00pm to 6:00am
  • The hours vary depending upon production
  • THERE IS NO GUARANTEE OF HOURS, EITHER MINIMUM OR MAXIMUM
  • THERE ARE NO SCHEDULED DAYS OFF

Employment Agreement

  • You will sign an Employment Agreement “Contract” for 1,500 hours worked, including overtime.
  • If you are laid off before completing 1,500 hours, your Employment Agreement “Contract” will be considered fulfilled.

Pay Information

  • Hourly Rate = $17.00/hr.
  • Overtime = over 8 hrs./day
  • Overtime Rate = $25.50/hr
  • Payday is every other Friday.
  • You can either Be Paid by :
  • - Direct Deposit (Any US bank)
  • - Live Check (Cash at Western Union or Key Bank)
  • There is only one Bank on the Island “Key Bank”

Work Requirements

  • Must be able to stand on your feet, working 11 ½ -16 hours a day, every day, performing repetitive tasks in cold, wet conditions... (Seven Days a week)
  • You must have a basic understanding of and be able to communicate in English...
  • You must be able to pay attention and follow directions. (For Safety and Quality of Work)

Travel Information

  • We will provide round-trip airfare from Seattle, WA, to Dutch Harbor, Alaska.
  • At the end of the season, you will be flown back to Seattle, WA, which will serve as your Point of Hire. (As long as you do not quit or get Fired)
