My passion for fitness began as an undergraduate, as my Army ROTC scholarship required year round physical training with quarterly tests. To date, I have completed many races including the Tulsa Run, Tulsa Duathlon, Oklahoma City Half Marathon, and Charlottesville Marathon. While training for the Marine Corps Marathon, I acquired an overuse injury and incorporated cycling while healing. By 2015, I was teaching indoor cycling classes at venues like Cyclebar, Saint Francis Health Zone and Crunch Fitness. I currently continue to train for races annually and most recently completed a half marathon in Nevada and a 10k in Texas.
I competed for an ARMY ROTC scholarship and earned a 4-year scholarship my junior and senior year in high school. During undergraduate at The University of Tulsa (TU), I completed 18 credit hours, attended field training exercises, participated in physical training and completed Advanced Camp. Upon graduation from TU, I completed officer basic course and graduated on the Commandant's List (top 10%). I was initially commissioned as a 2nd Lt. and honorably discharged in 2015 as a Captain.
A fun side note - I cheered all through middle school, high school and at collegiate at University of Tulsa. Once a cheerleader - always a cheerleader. My passion is helping others be the best version of themselves.
