1. Provide consistent, exceptional service to all AWAIC program participants.
Provide crisis intervention, individual support, and information about internal and external resources to victims of DV/SA/ST.
2. Provide short-term follow up advocacy and support to participants in coordination with the Case Manager.
Increase victims' safety and individual safety planning.
Educate program participants about the civil and criminal justice system including forms completion and support/coordinate with the Anchorage Police Department (APD), the Municipality of Anchorage Department of Law (MOA/LAW), the Violent Crimes Compensation Board (VCCB) and other related agencies as needed.
3. Advocate on behalf of program participants with community agencies to establish rapport and cooperation.
4. Develop and maintain a trusting, empowering relationship with the program participant that supports the program participant’s goal plan.
5. Be proactive and a leader in situations that require effective de-escalation of crisis situations.
1. Makes one or more sortations of outgoing and/or incoming mail using the appropriate sort program or manual distribution
scheme.
2. On a rotation basis, performs all of the following duties: loads mail onto automated equipment, culling out non-processable
items; enters sort plan and starts equipment; monitors flow of mail to ensure continuous feed; sweeps separated mail from
bins stackers; and stops equipment when distribution run or operation is completed. Runs machine reports, clears jams and
contacts maintenance for assistance when required.
3. Prepares work area, ensuring all necessary support equipment and materials, including labels, trays, and other
containers, are in place.
4. Removes sorted mail from bins or separations and places into appropriate trays or containers for further processing or
dispatch based on knowledge of operating plans and dispatch schedules, or at the instruction of supervisors or expediters;
may riffle or verify mail to ensure sortation accuracy as needed.
5. In addition, may perform any of the following duties: provide service at public window for non-financial transactions;
maintain records of mails; examine balances in advance deposit accounts; and record and bill mail requiring special service.
6. Follows established safe work methods, procedures and safety precautions while performing all duties.
7. Performs other duties as assigned.
-Will be responsible for safely operating a paratransit motor vehicle, providing reliable and efficient public transportation.
-Will be responsible for a variety of clerical duties, including reconciling drivers manifests and accurate entry of data in Trapeze software, taking reservations, providing information, assist with application process, prepare eligibility letters, preparation of pre-paid tickets, assist Accounting Manager and other assigned duties. He/she must have basic Excel skills, excellent ten key skills, be attentive to detail, professional, provide superior customer service and be able to work in a team environment in a fast-paced office, and must have good communication skills.
Customer service: Greet customers, answer questions, and provide directions.
Maintenance: Clean and maintain the facility, including bathrooms, floors, and trash bins.
Sales: Sell food, groceries, automotive products, and other basic items.
Cash transactions: Process cash transactions, count money, and dispense change.
Safety: Check identification to prevent underage purchases of alcohol and tobacco products.
Vehicle maintenance: Lubricate vehicles, change motor oil, add water, install antifreeze, or replace lights or other accessories.
Reporting: Prepare daily reports of fuel and oil, and call police to report suspicious activity.
