Type of patients include, general surgery, orthopedic, neuro, ENT, GYN and Renal transplants and cardiothoracic surgery, including TAVR, Mitral clips and all pulmonary related surgery. Also vascular, including AAA, post Heart cath and ablations. Care for and help with insertion of spinals and PNB. In addition to staff responsibilities, I am also a lead charge nurse and preceptor for new employees. I was also the head of our UBC and a member of the joint UBC of surgical services. In addition I have been floating to ICU since March 2020 for a large percentage of my shifts to help with the Covid pandemic critical pts.

Care for patients in the Cardiac ICU. This is a 29 bed unit.

Patients include PTCA, CABG, VAD, IABP, CRRT, Impella and heart and renal transplants. Lumbar drains, PA catheters, CT's, TTM/hypothermia, to include paralytics and proning for ARDS patients. Daily management of ventilators and vasoactive gtts. Collaboration with critical care intensivists and surgeons for all aspects of patient care.
