Ajarae Proctor

• Provide enrichment for Non human primates on remedial plan
• Keep track of remedial plan when animals receive behavior assessment based on individual primates daily behavior

• Provided technical, housekeeping, and record-keeping tasks associated with nonhuman primates.
• Under general supervision, performed specialized technical procedures to maintain the operation of the animal facility.
• Performed administrative work including sample preparation and labeling.
• Responsible for feeding nonhuman primates.
• Trained in how to sedate nonhuman primates using ketamine syringes.
• Administered injections via SC and intramuscular.
• Performed animal handling.
• Weighed, checked temperatures, and performed TB testing.
• Read and understood SOPs for the animal facilities.
• Performed blood draws.

PCU Technician/ Anesthesia Technician

• 40hrs/ week. Monday- Friday
• Assisted with restraining patients for different procedures.
• Setting up for a sedated procedure or taking sedated X-rays.
• Administer medication IV, SUBQ, and oral.
• Triaging patients and taking vitals on patients making sure the pet is stable.
• Communicating with staff and doctors on patients
• Rounding next technician on patients and what patient is presented for.
• Cleaning and restocking treatment area making sure each team has enough supplies in stock
• Feeding patients with special dietary needs or blending food for NG tube feeding.

Recovery Technician/ Anesthesia Technician

• 40hrs/ week. Monday- Friday
• Assisted with helping patients recover after surgery through administering medication and fluids, replacing IVC’s, and wrapping wounds.
• Took TPR every 4 hours monitoring pets vitals.
• Communicating patient progress with internal staff to ensure effectiveness in surgeries.
• Anesthesia Technician
• Monitored patients during surgery.
• Performing X-rays for incoming patients and documenting medications needed for patient recovery.
• Monitoring bloodwork to ensure patient safety.
• Clean and sanitize surgery instruments and wrapped packs.
