Installation & Construction

• Install ground grids and ensure proper electrical grounding of all substation components.
• Run and install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC, etc.) for control wiring and power distribution.
• Set steel structures (e.g., bus supports, equipment stands) according to layout and drawings.
• Install electrical jumpers and buses to connect transformers, switches, and breakers per design specifications.

Equipment Operation

• Safely and efficiently operate construction and lifting equipment, including:
• Skytrack (telehandler/forklift)
• Man lift (aerial lift or boom lift)
• Skid steer
• Track hoe (excavator)
• Front-end loader

Technical Skills

• Assist in layout and physical arrangement of components based on blueprint
• Read and interpret electrical prints and construction drawings (approximately 70% proficiency)

Communication

• Work and communicate effectively in a bilingual (Spanglish) environment with team members, contractors, and supervisors.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow strict job site and electrical safety protocols.
• Maintain compliance with OSHA 30 safety standards. (OSHA 30 certified)
• Participate in safety meetings, tool-box talks, and hazard assessments
