At 1st United Services Credit Union I started as a Member Service Representative in the call center, where I was typically responsible for up to 150 inbound calls a day ranging from complex account problem resolution to simple teller transactions
I handled a daily variance of duties from setting up payroll deductions to card services issues, while educating members on all the services we could offer them
Within 3 months I became a senior representative in the call center, handling more complex issues and more in depth member contact, as well as some experience helping coordinate staff member schedules and problems
About 2 months into that position, I was promoted to Loan Officer
I handled the taking and processing of loan applications, either online or by means of telephone
I was then responsible for maintaining contact with the member in order to guide them through the process, and then closing the loan
In September of 2006 I was promoted to the position of Consumer Loan Underwriter
As the underwriter I was responsible for reviewing and approving all loan applications submitted to our consumer lending department
I was also responsible for training lending staff in regards to application taking and funds disbursement
I was also proficient at the processing and underwriting of CUDL loans, which are indirect loans submitted via dealerships
