  • Led my Public Engagement team of seven USDH, four EFMs, and 22 LE staff through a fast-paced transition, moving to immediately and aggressively advance Administration priorities in China.
  • While serving as Acting Minister Counselor for five months, managed the budget and all personnel matters for Mission China, including getting all of our FY25 .7 funding allocated in time even before receipt of our final AOA. Directed the work of more than 100 staff across the Embassy and four Consulates.
  • Reenvisioned what Public Engagement in China should look like under a second Trump Administration.
  • Oversee all grants in Mission China.

  • Coordinated with USG stakeholders across the Pacific, including the National Security Council, to design and implement effective messaging campaigns.
  • Unearthed and used difficult-to-locate information behind China's Great Firewall to identify key members of Chinese organized crime organizations operating in the Pacific. Worked closely with the FBI, other interagency partners, and the Government of Australia to bring real-world consequences to some of the worst actors in the region.
  • Managed more than $2 million in grants.

Started as line officer, later chosen to serve as Acting NIV Chief, supervising 15 officers and 25 LES. Ended tour as Acting ACS Chief. Arranged for rescue of American citizens in Japan while TDY to assist in the immediate aftermath of the March 2011 earthquake, tsunami, and nuclear disaster.
