Work History

Pharmacy Technician

InjuryScripts
02.2023 - 01.2025
  • InjuryScripts is a compounding Pharmacy, while working here I was in charge of extracting, doing dishes, and making/packing prescribed compounds for patients.
  • Working here gave me so much experience in the Pharmaceutical world, everyday would consist of you compounding different variations of creams, liquids and capsules for patients.
  • Being a Pharmacy Technician is a very fast paced, detail orientated and important job. You have to check the details and ensure the prescription is correct for the specific patient or you can end up injuring someone.
  • Another part of my job required packing every compound made to ensure it gets out to the patient in a timely manner. Certain compounds required milling as well to help with the texture of the cream made.
  • when I first started I was an extractor before becoming a Pharmacy Tech. this included extracting ointment out of tubes by hand with a roller for ten hours a day it was very rigorous work on your hands and arms. I would also be in charge of dishes and sanitizing everything properly.
  • Once I was a Pharmacy Tech. for a few months I was then taught how to make capsules and liquids. I also compounded with Hazardous chemicals and hormones and had to garb up correctly and be keen to detail for the safety of me and the patient.
  • Here are some other things I did as a Pharmacy Technician:
  • Enhanced pharmacy workflow by assisting pharmacists with medication dispensing, labeling, and packaging.
  • Calculated dosage, filled prescriptions, and prepared prescription labels with absolute accuracy.
  • Promoted patient confidentiality by adhering to HIPAA regulations when handling personal information during transactions.
  • Increased overall pharmacy productivity by restocking supplies, organizing shelves, and maintaining cleanliness according to standards.
  • Reduced medication errors by diligently cross-checking medications against patients'' profiles before dispensing.
  • Proactively identified potential issues or discrepancies in medication orders, collaborating closely with pharmacists to resolve them quickly.
