• Assessed and provided treatment for Aphasia clients with diverse communication abilities
• Fostered meaningful and empathetic relationships with clients and their families
HILL Program: Spring 2024
• Children ages 3-5 with receptive and expressive language delay, hearing
impairment, down syndrome, autism spectrum disorder, and other etiologies
• Educated and included family members about the client’s intervention to encourage parent support and involvement
Adult Clients: Summer 2024
• Providing intervention to clients with cognitive deficits targeting word finding difficulties and alternate modes of communication
Pediatric Clients: Summer 2024
• Providing intervention to clients with severe receptive and expressive language disorder specifically targeting sequencing and “WH” questions

Lake Elementary School: Fall 2024.

• Assessed and treated a variety of disorders including articulation, language, and fluency disorders.
• Developed Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and conducted parent meetings to establish goals and treatment plans for students.

Student Teaching Assistant

• Taught undergraduate students through a near-peer learning model that aimed to foster knowledge about living with Aphasia and the assessment and intervention for Aphasia.
• Demonstrated ability to foster an engaging and supportive learning environment, utilize innovative teaching methods, and mentor students effectively.
• Assisted with grading and providing student feedback.
• Conducted research on the benefits of a near-peer learning model with supervisor. We presented this research at the 2024 ASHA Convention.

UM ABility Lab

• Assisted Dr. Hyejin Park as she studies the use of multimodal communication strategies with Aphasia clients
• Observed recorded sessions to generate data about the treatment and assessment of Aphasia clients
• Recorded data and maintained source documentation following precise documentation practices to stay well organized
