At Crust Brewing I greet customers with a smile and welcome them in, I seat customers in a timely fashion, I answer phone calls and help with any questions, I move tables together for larger parties, I make reservations and make sure not to overbook, I take to go orders and repeat the order to the customer to ensure I took it down correctly, I clean menus, I clean the ice cream station, I wipe down the host stand, I sweep the bathrooms, I sweep the front, I interact with staff a lot because customers usually come to the host stand with their questions, I deal with big rushes by staying calm and fitting customers in where I can but also letting customers know when I cannot take them, I make sure every server is getting seated an even amount of times, I have bussed tables when I need to use them quickly, I have handled cash and card payments for to go orders and ice cream orders and I am always sure to give people their exact change and receipt, and I have dealt with customer complaints by remaining calm and respectful and grabbing my manager.
At Michaels I greeted the customers walking to my register with a smile, I rung up and bagged items in a timely manner, I showed people where to insert their card or counted the cash I was given and returned exact change or showed people how to swipe their giftcards, I made sure the bags I filled were light enough for the customer, I assisted customers with self checkout, I returned any baskets or carts left by the register where they belonged, I swept the front where all the registers were, I helped anyone picking up an online order, I informed people of the aisle in which they could find an item they were looking for, I restocked and organized the candy and snacks in the front, and I took the garbage from the front to the trash bin.
At Care-A-Lot I cleaned the bathroom, vacuumed rugs, swept and mopped floors, prepared snacks for the kids, washed dishes, did laundry, watered plants, dusted the blinds, helped the kids pack up to go, and took out the trash. I would get to work toward the end of the kids' nap time. I would help wake them up and put their beds away. Then, I would begin all of my tasks. Completing these tasks took almost my whole shift, but for the last hour or so of my shift I would play with the kids outside or watch a movie with them inside. Spending time with the kids was definitely my favorite part. I used all cleaning equipment with caution, and I worked efficiently because I only had so much time to clean the daycare.
