In June of 2019 I was voted winner of the “Shining Star” award at Franciscan Manor for going above and beyond for our residents. Recognized for outstanding patient by our residents family members, other staff, and our residents themselves. I was also recognized in stepping up whenever it was needed and putting in numerous extra hours to ensure our residents were being taken care of to our greatest extent. They were my second family and I enjoyed every minute. I feel as if “my calling” was patient care. I love to know I made a huge impact in someone’s life and if they were safe, happy, comforted, then I was doing my job exactly how I was meant to do it.
