My current role is a bit different than any role I have been in before, I was given an outline of what the role objective was and I was given the freedom in creating the role on how I wanted it to look like. In my current role, I meet with families who's primary language is not English in hopes of bringing the no show rates down in our clinic. I assist these families in providing resources such as transportation information, food, clothing, questions regarding appointments or ior if they need to cancel / reschedule. The key in this position is to relationships with these families so that they feel comfortable enough to reach out if they are in need of resources. I collaborate with our social work team to help families fill out applications for WIC, SNAP, rent assistance, etc.
