Certified Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD), Heart transplant, and Artificial Heart. Precepted New Nurses to the unit.

Since Yuma is one of the cities Snowbirds populate during the winter months, I got an opportunity to work as a Seasonal Nurse On their Cardiac Unit.  Had six patients on night shift.  Cared for Acute and Chronic Cardiac conditions in Adult and Geriatric population.  Also cared for Pre/ Post Cardiac surgery patients.  Initiated and evaluated cardiac medication drips.
