Responsible for teaching 20 students each semester the fundamentals of acting and scene work. Teaching fundamental acting techniques and theories to create a shared vocabulary and understanding amongst the class. Assigning monologues and coaching students through both the performance and the breakdown of the characters. Assigning scene work and coaching students on how to work with a partner and how to build a level of trust and play with each other. These students were also from majors outside of acting.
Responsible for teaching 20 students from majors outside of acting the fundamentals of Improvisation. Creating lesson plans alongside a Co-Instructor to create confidence in students and a sense of play to allow for a more open and exciting world in Improv, leading both scenes and games and giving feedback to students on how to allow for organized chaos.
In charge of keeping track of attendance and grading assignments of students alongside the teacher. In charge of leading conversations between students about projects and the landscape of Contemporary Theatre and the ways in which it can be interpreted differently by those who experience it.
Responsible for taking attendance and taking record of scenes read in class by students and the length of time that each reading would take.
In charge of grading tests and papers for about 50 students. Responsible for teaching students lesson plans if they were absent for any classes.
In charge of grading tests and papers of about 30 students. Responsible for giving feedback on the scenes they would present in class and to also assist them during their rehearsal hours.
In charge of grading papers and tests for around 200 students. Also tutoring students on writing papers and lessons for about 20 hours a week.
Coaching about 6 students ages 8-12 on the fundamentals of improv and acting. Teaching Improv games and establishing an understanding of short form improv and the importance of listening to each other. Assigning monologues and just breaking down the words and how the character is feeling and why, also performing them at the end of the coaching session.
A summer camp lasting about three weeks with kids from ages 6-14. I was in charge of about 24 students ages 11-14 where we put on The Wizard of Oz Jr. I was responsible for making sure that the students were rehearsing their choreography, songs, scenes and helping with any and all character work that they needed.
