I love to read books because it opens up a new world, idea, and perspective. Reading allows me to explore different cultures, times, experience, expanding my knowledge and understanding of the world around me. My personal favorite was the Kite Runner. It helped me understand how hard it is to move on from your past. It also helped me understand how people loves to show their brutal power over the weak and poor instead of helping or comforting them. Besides this, reading about different characters and stories can improve empathy and communication skills, making one better at connecting with people around him or her.
