Responsibilities

*Conduct initial welders testing and observe the welding process from start to finish, to include verification of qualified welders, observing the proper application of the applicable code, the visual and Non-Destructive Testing of completed welds, the accepted form of documentation and reporting of the completed weld.
• Review and observe the coating process from beginning to end, to include the verification of materials used in alignment with applicable industry and company standards, proper labeling, storage and life expectancy of the coating product, proper surface preparation and assessment, as well as proper application and assessment of the coating product.
Verify crew members, team members and other relevant staff have the proper training and are Operationally Qualified, to perform all specific tasks and functions in the field.
* Functioned as a liaison between the client and contractor ensuring a streamlined method of communication was central to the success of the project, keeping them on time and within budget.
* Relayed critical information as a Subject Matter Expert on pipelines as well as Turnarounds and Shutdowns, in order to achieve minimal downtime and cost expenditure.
* Lead team members as a Chief Inspector, Assistant- Chief inspector and Multi Cert Inspector for many projects and engaged team members by providing oversight, guidance and direction, and at times coaching for lesser experienced inspectors, with an emphasis on empowering staff to become better functionaries of their tasks.
*Able to work autonomously in the field as demonstrated by my ability to start and complete a pump station from the initial kick off meeting to the PSSR and final walk through and job package turn in.
*Highly effective communicator as demonstrated by my detailed and comprehensive report writing, oral communication between staff sometimes in contentious situations requiring de-escalation techniques, in addition to my ability to teach, mentor and coach less experienced staff in accomplishing tasks safely and in accordance with the applicable standards, regulations and codes.
*Core competency and ability to interpret and apply API and ASME codes to appropriate tasks in the field.
