At 1stLAR I also served multiple billets in logistics and transportation such as;

  • Licensing NCO: ensuring all required personnel had up to date licenses on different tactical vehicles, keeping up with expirations dates and sending qualified operators to advanced courses to receive different endorsements, and maintaining a licensing tracker and updating the Motor Transportation Chief and Motor Transportation Officer weekly.
  • Platoon Sergeant: Taking Charge of the platoon that was composed of 80+ Marines, taking responsibility of personnel accountability and making sure that daily task were completed in a timely manner. Also, looking out for Marines well being and implementing commanders intent being the bridge between subordinates and higher ranking leaders.
  • Range Safety Officer: Responsible for ensuring the safe conduct of live fire training, following local range standard operating procedures, conducting range inspections, enforcing range rules, conducting safety briefs, administrating aid and assistance in the event of an emergency.
  • Truck Master: Responsible for managing fleet readiness and coordinating maintenance of tactical vehicles conjointly working with maintenance personnel. Also, providing logistical support for numerous occasions such as range qualification, battalion level exercise, professional tactics exercise, and daily support missions.

  • Motor Transportation Non-commissioned Officer in Charge (MTNCOIC): Senior Marine responsible for overseeing day to day agendas pass down from leadership, looking out for Marines well being, enforcing Marine Corps rules and regulations. Also, oversee driver training and qualification, convoy operations including route planning and load management, and incident response managing vehicles breakdowns and accidents, coordinating recovery operations as needed.
