Passionate Teacher with experience developing and implementing diverse curriculums covering wide range of subjects. Highly skilled at motivating students through positive encouragement and reinforcement of concepts via interactive classroom instruction and observation. Successful in helping students develop strong literacy, numeracy, social and learning skills.

Successful implementation of curriculum, developing a foundation of fine arts, and possessing goal-driven results and effective organizational skills have proven to be key to my achievements as a teacher of over 29 years. Encouraging my students to become well rounded, expressive, and creative artists inspires me as an educator. My participation ranges from maintaining the campus website to being actively involved in school programs.

• Curriculum Implementation - Taught reading, language arts, social studies, mathematics, science, art and physical education to pupils utilizing course of study adopted by the Board of Education.
• Teacher of the Year for Chula Vista Academy of Fine Arts Elementary 2007.
• Student Progress Conferences - Conducted conferences with parents, administrators, testing specialists and social workers to discuss educational plans designed to promote students' educational/social development.
• Curriculum Development - Tailored educational curriculum to students with range of learning styles, disabilities, strengths and weaknesses. Developed innovative semester lesson plans and practical application exercises for classroom, reversing scores on Physical Science tests from 65% average to 87% average.
• Targeted Development - Met with parents and guardians to discuss children's progress and to determine priorities and resource needs.
• Student Involvement - Volunteered as faculty member representative for student/teacher/counselor advisory club (TikTalk), supervising bi-weekly after school meetings.

Corpus Christi American Federation of Teachers: 29 year member, served on Executive Board for 5 years.
