Alex Brewbaker

As an undergraduate student at the University of Alabama, founded the UA Undergraduate Philosophy Journal, an academic publication dedicated to giving students a platform to write, create and express philosophy.

Worked in my local community as a volunteer debate coach for The Alberta School for Performing Arts through the Alabama Debate Society. During the fall of 2022 and spring of 2023 I was an assistant teacher teaching debate, the philosophy of argumentation, public speaking and logic.

Winner of the 2020 Alabama Speech and Debate student of the Year. Currently is both a national finalist and semifinalist in forensics competing for the University of Alabama.

Over 1,000 community service hours. Long time volunteer at Hope Heals, an organization that is devoted to supporting families of children with disabilities. During the summer of 2022 worked in Prod Romania, helping to secure housing for children evading the war in Ukraine with Bridges of Faith ministries.
