Apparel Chair- TKE Chapter URI

  • Served as the Apparel chair on the executive board of Tau Kappa Epsilon at the University of Rhode Island from
    December 2023-September 2024.
  • My job as the apparel chair for the Alpha-Rho Chapter of Tau Kappa Epsilon the University of Rhode Island was to create meaningful and popular designs for our merchandise at the most reasonable cost possible. As apparel chair, my job was to create shirt and sweatshirt designs that were sold to help benefit the financial structure of our organization. I was tasked with the creation of these designs, making sure that they met the regulations and expectations of our National chapter, and keeping in touch with graphic designers and clothing companies to make them a reality. The most important part of the job was staying in budget, as my greatest task was to ensure that I could create the best quality pieces of merchandise using the most cost efficient techniques possible in order to save my fraternity money in the design process. I was then tasked with pricing the items to ensure that our organization was maximizing total potential profit as well as distributing the items which greatly enhanced my communication and sales skills.
