Accomplishments

  • Multiple awards received for exceptional service in the Submarine Force. The most outstanding award was from when there was system fault on the fleets newest chemistry equipment. We were the first ship that had experienced such an issue and successfully repaired it. it was from my troubleshooting efforts on spending 70 hours in a 4 day period to repair and reprogram the system. the plant designers had a meeting at day 3 and reviewed my notes and agreed with my course of action. Their statement was they were excited to see an operator perform this in depth troubleshooting and repair while being successful. I was the first operator in fleet history to successfully counter this fault and my notes lead to the development of a new troubleshooting manual.
