A 2015 project at Texas Christian University ignited an interest in the nascent drone industry and immersion into equipment, software and piloting for early adopter companies. Leading to the founding of Three-Legged Crow LLC, in 2018; to work full-time through networking, LinkedIn and industry events. Seeking likely users, i.e., construction, roofing, oil and gas, solar, wind, agriculture, and forestry. Fulfilling needs and uses such as mapping, 3D modeling, inspection, thermography, troubleshooting, etc.
The goal is to join a team with a national and / or international footprint that needs sales professionals and experienced drone pilots, that develop relationships with companies, creating solutions using drones. As a Sandler Sales trained professional there is an understanding of the psychology of a buyer or client and how to help reveal their pain points. Importantly, speaks the nomenclature and can answer challenging questions regarding drones and their supporting technologies. In addition to practical field experience, troubleshooting technical challenges in many environments.

General Contractor: Whiting-Turner Construction
This is without a doubt my personal favorite project. It started for Three-Legged Crow when the pilot who had previously been capturing the data had moved on to another company and there was a need for the contract to be fulfilled. After some discussion and negotiation an agreement was made, and TLC formally picked up the contract. What the project entailed was working within the Fort Worth Zoo to regularly scan the work sites and create a record through orthomosaic modeling and video. It was enjoyable to be in a place where the elephants keenly watch you work.
Contracting Firm: Energy Renewal Partners LLC
By far the most challenging project this company, or its chief pilot, have had to navigate. To fulfill this contract numerous sites in northwest Missouri had been planned out for inspection. The goal was to provide data on the terrain, observations for the placement of new windmill turbines and inspect the power infrastructure. What made this challenging was the weather, well below freezing and winds at ground level at near the equipment’s tolerance. It was a hard endeavor, but the limits had been tested successfully and the client was pleased with the outcome.
General Contractor: Reconstruction Experts Inc.
While Three-Legged Crow LLC had been conducting non-destructive testing via thermography in commercial roofing for several years this was first high-rise thermography project we had undertaken. This project was time sensitive and there was a need to work around the buildings management and its owners. Alongside was the knowledge that weather as always had to be navigated as the sensors needed to gather a proper data set are very sensitive and on top of a three hundred fifty-foot tower it is quite windy. In the end the GC and their associated engineering firm got what they needed to save time and money.
