- Participated in the team effort to deliver Utilization Management system for Arkansas Blue Shield Blue Cross medical insurance company serving about 1.5 million members. Previously the client used manual processing for utilization management which was slow and prone to errors. Our UM product allowed the client to increase productivity, cut the costs and greatly improved turnaround time of prior authorization processing (from hours to minutes).
- Lead the team effort to develop efficient and user-friendly system to deliver about 400 different insurance plan member letters from 2 different letter-generating providers. Previously the client's (Arkansas Blue Shield Blue Cross) staff manually typed letters in Microsoft Word. Our letter delivery system excluded manual entry and letters are generated in seconds instead of minutes. Some letters are generated automatically by AI rules without human intervention at all.
- Lead the team effort to develop high-performance real-time benefit eligibility system to retrieve up-to-date member eligibility data. Previously, ABCBS used eligibility data loaded on certain days, which made them obsolete in some cases causing incorrect claim processing. Our real-time eligibility system always retrieved the fresh data which saved time and effort for the client along with savings on possible incorrect claim processing.
