Terminal Manager

  • Spent the first two plus years with Estes as the local Account Manager where I met with customers within the Service Centers service area. Managed and grew business from existing accounts as well as found new accounts and created strategies to develop revenue from them. Developed a reputation as a credible, knowledgeable and sincere sales resource. Increased local controlled revenue by 137%. Grew "25+" Accounts from 7 to 28 in 24 months time.
  • As Terminal Manager, I manage every form of the day to day operations of the Augusta Facility. Lead, guide and direct all 50+ employees to performance, operational and safety goals by coaching, counseling and developing. Positions include CDL drivers, warehouse employees, Office Clerks, Shift Supervisors, Operations Manager and Sales Representative.
  • Responsible for all recruiting, hiring, and training. Collaborated with other Managers on employee engagement and had less than 5% turn over in 2024.
  • Ensure all paperwork, DOT and HAZMAT regulations are followed and enforced, as well as company guidelines
  • Create and present quarterly and yearly budgets and performance reports to the cooperate office and Regional Leadership. Responsible for Facilities Monthly Profit and Loss Statement. Develop an analysis from the quarterly P&L, and report to District Operations Manager. Prepare Yearly Business plans, Quarterly business reviews, as well as lead and direct Quarterly Business Strategy Meetings in effort to provide Estes customers with the absolute best shipping experience possible by leveraging action items between Sales, Operations and Pricing.
  • Lowered Facilities Operating Ratio from 104 when I transitioned into the position, to an operating ratio of 78.8 in year 2024.
  • Manage and over see all facility operations including warehouse/dock operations, city dispatch, sales, scheduling, safety and equipment maintenance. Maintain a positive working relationship between all departments such as pricing, safety, fleet services, claims and loss prevention.
  • Lead facility to lowest claim ratio in the entire company in year 2021.
  • Augusta Facility has achieved Facility Of The Quarter, for 7 of the last 8 Quarters. This achievement is based off of several statistics including Revenue, Operational Efficiencies, Operating Ratio and Safety.
  • Assist as an SSM to the region by traveling to other facilities to direct operational improvement in multiple facilities across the Southeastern US

  • Assisted the Regional VP Of Operations by traveling and transitioning the Augusta, GA, Savannah, GA, and Chattanooga, TN Facilities into the Central Transport Operating System after the Vitran Express US LTL purchase.
  • Held Account Management and Sales Growth Responsibilities for Augusta. This involved visiting with customers in the designed service area and find ways to grow business as well as providing a sales resource for assistance with shipping classifications, bills of lading, HAZMAT guidance and quoting.
  • Established ambitious sales targets, managed deployment strategies and developed go-to-market plans to capitalize on every revenue opportunity.
  • Achieved dramatic sales increase by skillfully managing relationships and proactive sales approaches.

  • Directed all forms of day to day operations of the Augusta, GA and Savannah, GA Service Centers. This evolved heavy travel and a strong supervision team at both locations.
  • Optimized processes and supervised a total of 65 employees between both locations. Employees consisted of warehouse operators, CDL drivers, clerical, supervisors and sales professionals.
  • Delivered training for staff development, change management protocols and materials, process and technical controls.
  • Managed profit and loss statements for both locations. Performed quarterly analysis, met with operational and sales teams to target poorly operating areas as well as new opportunities.
  • Trained and developed personnel to improve safety, employee relations and resolve turnover issues by promoting a sounds culture that people want to be apart of.
  • Spent 6 months as Customer Center Manager of Charlotte, NC Break Bulk Facility. Led their team of over 175 employees during a "rebuild" effort of hiring and training 11 new leadership personal including the new acting Terminal Manager. All while efficiently providing customers with reliable service through the 170 door break bulk facility.
