  • As a Sterile Processing Lead Tech I oversaw surgical inventory management for my service lines, communicated daily with the charge O.R. Nurses, trained new hires, troubleshoot medical equipment, and adhere to safety and quality standards for surgery. My tedious organization skills and experience with Microsoft applications allowed me to excel in this role by reorganizing my area of surgery and keeping track of medical use and instrumentation. By doing so, I enhanced lost instruments in my area by 20% and managed to save the department money and improve the workflow of the department.

I expanded my knowledge on working with GIS programs, data entry and quality control as well as report writing.

  • I have had the opportunity of doing a Summer Internship with the Arizona Game and Fish Department, in which I assisted a Senior Research Biologist in conducting annual Flat-Tail Horned Lizard Occupancy monitoring in Yuma, Arizona in the Summer of 2020. With this internship being my first paid biology experience, I was able to obtain and expand upon my field work skills and abilities.
