I created a music curriculum for students from transitional kindergarten to fifth grade, in which I implemented the Core Knowledge California standards. The Core Knowledge Foundation music sequence exposes students to a variety of music genres, the fundamentals of musical instruments, and reading sheet music. I also applied my knowledge of psychology to my curriculum, with lessons that show the relationship between music and neuroscience while simultaneously introducing growth mindset behaviors like meditation. In addition, I taught and led a school-wide song for each monthly assembly whose lyrics coincided with the core virtue of that particular month.
