Supported vulnerable children aged 11-12 in developing reading skills and stepping outside comfort zones through active listening and role modelling.

• Context: I worked for a charity called Attentive Management which raised money for knife crime in the UK. There I pitched to people asking for donations and whether they could help us achieve our fundraising goal.
• Having a sales pitch and talking to people on the streets gained me the ability to overcome my comfort zone and also the ability to understand people body language and as well how to adapt my speech to them increasing my communication skills

• I used to be a prefect for my secondary school, this title entailed me to work hard and maintain a strong stature of a role model for my peers and my school whom I was representing. I was able to become prefect through application which shows that I had initiative.
• One of the jobs that we had to do was to help our teachers with parents evenings, where I was able to use my communication skills to assist parents to guide them
• I believe that the role of a prefect allowed me to become more assertive and hardworking as it helped develop my social skills and improved my communication.
