I am a 38-year-old radiography student. The program I am enrolled in begins August 19, 2024. I have all of my core classes for the program completed and will be in class part-time for 2 years with an average course load of 6 credits per semester including clinical rotations. My availability outside of school is wide open. First semester (August-December) I will be in school Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday mornings and early afternoons.
I graduated culinary school in 2007 and worked in the industry for 15 years. After a short stint working as an Uber driver, I decided to return to college during the coronavirus pandemic. I initially majored in computer science, but I determined after taking course specific classes that I was not passionate about programming and wanted to be on my feet helping people. I did not enjoy sitting in a chair all day and desired more mental stimulation from changing circumstances.
I am married with 2 dogs, a Golden Retriever and Golden/Poodle mix. My wife and I previously had 2 cats that lived until 15 and 18 years old. I was responsible for administering multiple medications and assisting the cats with multiple health conditions, including blindness. I am very adept at providing care for pets and am passionate about providing the best care possible.
I am a dependable, punctual, respectful, kind, and courteous individual with a desire to excel and an understanding of a sense of urgency in high pressure and fast-paced environments. I am organized and efficient, professional, and I am CPR certified.
