  • Project coordinator for Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) Frontline Strong Together grant. This is a grant to Wayne State University's Department of Psychiatry & Behavioral Neurosciences which provides support to police officers, firefighters, EMS, dispatch and correctional officers suffering from post traumatic stress syndrome and other mental health conditions.
  • Coordinated with first responder departments across the State of Michigan to schedule trainings and presentations. Worked with our 12 peer support specialists to schedule based on locale and departmental urgency.
  • Managed travel expense reimbursements for 12 peer supports and guests travelling on the grant. Created expense reports and retrieved proper documentation to ensure University and granting agency compliance. Annual travel reimbursements total $56,000.
  • Assisted financial director on the $2,000,000 annual budget and grant application. Reviewed budget vs. actual reports on a monthly basis, reviewed salary and efforts charged, and reported costs to Principal Investigator.
  • Coordinated certified trainings for our 12 peer support specialists. Posted available trainings on our fst5.org website. Worked with vendors to obtain quotes/contracts, processed payments, registered first responders for trainings (ICISF), and secured locations for in-person trainings.
  • Implemented a data organization system and policy to better manage and share documentation amongst 50+ employees working on this project. Created shared files on WSU's OneDrive and managed user access. Provided data for the quarterly progress report to the state.
  • Communicated with police, fire, corrections, EMS, and dispatch departments across the state to introduce the program, offer information and available trainings, and requested contact information for newsletter and other FST5 updates.
  • Assisted the marketing specialist with costing and advertising plans for radio, TV, billboard, social media and podcasts.
  • Attend bi-monthly steering committee meetings with representatives from WSU, WH, MDHHS, first responder union leaders, and other stakeholders.
