Work History

Behavior Technician

ACES ABA
08.2023 - 11.2024
  • Observed, monitored and recorded problem behaviors through accurate behavior-consequence data collection and anecdotal notes.
  • Worked as part of collaborative team to address changing needs of children and families.
  • Developed and implemented reinforcement systems to encourage positive behaviors.
  • Led and helped other Behavioral Technicians in clinic setting as a Team Lead.

Research Technician

Professor Anil Bhushan, UCSF
07.2022 - 07.2023

Dr. Bhushan's lab focuses on exploring the senescence in cells and their connection to the immune system. During my time in the lab, I have primarily worked with maintaining mice colonies, as well as genotyping mouse samples. In addition to this, I have also maintained stem cell cultures.

Lab Assistant Intern

University of California, Santa Cruz, Professor Yi Zuo's lab
04.2019 - 12.2019

Professor Zuo's lab focuses on deciphering the dynamic neural circuits in the living brain. I was directly supervised by Dr. Ju Lu (assistant project scientist in the lab), the work I performed emphasized neurobiology and genetics. During my internship, I was trained in mouse transcardial perfusion, vibratome sectioning of the mouse brain, and immunochemistry. I was further tasked with extracting mouse cortical neuron activity traces from two photon calcium imaging data using the ImageJ program.

Lab Assistant Intern

UCSF, Professor Joe Derisi's lab
06.2016 - 08.2016

Professor Derisi's lab is focused on using genomic and molecular biology tools to gain mechanistic insights into the biology of pathogens. During my internship, I focused on learning the basic tools of bioinformatics and genetics, which included helping to generate DNA libraries, working knowledge in bioinformatic tools, including NCBI blast and introduction into python. I was also able to refine the lab skills I had picked up over the previous year. At the end of the internship I presented and discussed findings from a research paper regarding the transmission of cancer cells between bivalve molluscs.

R&D Intern

Procept BioRobotics
01.2016 - 05.2016

Procept Biorobotics is a startup company with a recent IPO at NASDAQ. The company has designed a machine to treat benign prostate enlargement in men using high powered water ablation. My internship at Procept involved troubleshooting the software for the ablation machine where I identified potential bugs for the research and development team to fix.

Lab Assistant Intern

Doctor Heinrich Schrewe
07.2015 - 08.2015

Dr. Schrewe's lab focuses on molecular genetics and mouse embryology. In his lab, I learned basic cellular and molecular biology concepts and techniques. During my time working there, I performed my first PCR, gel electrophoresis, and first genotyping of mice.
