Alexander McNair

As an EMT with EMSA I've had the opportunity to work along side a paramedic in a high demand 911 system. Utilizing local protocols in a vast variety of different EMS calls. I've also gotten the opportunity to learn Tulsa metro geography and local hospital system capabilities. It has also provided the learning experience of real world, hands on EMS training as I attend paramedic school.

I am currently attached to a military police reserve unit based in Joplin, MO. I am the unit's medical sergeant. My greatest responsibility is to provide pre-hospital emergency medical care to the unit's police officers. I am also responsible for planning and conducting combat medicine training, ensuring that all reservist within the unit are operationally capable in a deployed setting.

Additional responsibilities include maintaining all medical supplies and as a non-commissioned officer, mentoring junior soldiers in upholding Army standards to promote mission readiness.

• Administered emergency medical care to patients in pre-hospital settings.
• Worked alongside a paramedic in a 911 based EMS system.
• Assisted in operation of basic and advanced life support equipment during patient transport.
• Completed thorough documentation on PCR for BLS appropriate calls.

• Performed venipuncture procedure to donors for the purpose of plasma donation.
• Maintained accurate documentation and proper use of PPE equipment

• Seasonal position, navigated challenging river sections while prioritizing safety for all participants.
• Conducted pre-trip safety briefings, ensuring participant understanding of procedures and equipment usage.

• Diagnosed and repaired ski lift mechanical issues to ensure safe operation.
• Conducted routine inspections and maintenance on lift systems to enhance reliability.

• Operated ski lift machinery, ensuring safe and efficient transport of guests.
• During the last two years of employment I transitioned to supervisor overseeing seven ski lifts and their crews.
