
I have been working for Weis Markets my current employer for approximately 4 years now and I have learned a lot about how a grocery store operates. I’ve been taking advantage of all the opportunities that are given to me to learn as much as I can to further improve my knowledge to apply my skills and most importantly interacting and helping customers.
• Trained as a Store Closer
• Providing customer service when dealing with customer conflict to address customer concerns and resolve issues when called up to Services
• Assist departments in need of help when in charge of the store
• Maintaining a fully faced center store when on sales floor to have a well presented department
• Electric Power Jack trained to unload grocery and frozen trucks and break down onto U-boats for associates to take to sales floor to stock items
• Set tasks for associates to complete to keep the store well maintained and help guide associates in Center Store department while going over department expectations
• Operating point of sale transactions at cash register
• Complete lottery, bill pay and Western Union transactions while adhering to company and legal regulations. Follows company and legal guidelines for tobacco sales.
• Performs refunds or exchanges while following company policy to ensure a quality customer service experience. Communicates pricing, quality, and other concerns to appropriate managers/associates.
• Oversaw front end department when performing front end duties
• Trained in accounting/bookkeeping when analyzing financial responsibilities of the store when maintaining proper accounting procedures when balancing registers, lottery, stamps, and registers
