As a Fire Apparatus Engineer Paramedic, I am responsible for maintaining the fire apparatus, the tools on the apparatus, and all preventative maintenance. Additionally, as one of the primary paramedics on the fire engine, I provide advanced life support. During my time at San Luis Obispo, my station transitioned to 3-0 staffing with Firefighter IIs. I was part of the initial onboarding cadre. As a FAE/P at Nipomo Station at an A/B house, I assist with month-ends.

Respond and mitigate emergencies on a Paramedic Assessment Engine. Provide ALS service to the citizens of Yucaipa. Assist with ALS restock room. Perform Station maintenance, tool maintenance, and Fire Apparatus Maintenance.

The responsibilities of a Fire Fighter 1 include responding to a wide variety of calls including EMS, Public assists, and Fires throughout the community your assigned to and throughout the State Of California. A Fire Fighter 1 duties are station maintenance / cleanliness, helping with equipment maintenance, cooking, and community outreach.
