Aug. 2013 - July 2018 (Rome Field Office)

  • I conducted complex security advances and visits in foreign countries on behalf of the United States, liaising & coordinating with government & police entities, as well as private businesses, to ensure productive and safe events and visits.
  • I was tasked as a protection instructor at the International Law Enforcement Academy in Budapest, Hungary, where my expertise in the area of conducting security advances for large, highly publicized events, along with the physical protection of VIPs, was used as a blueprint by foreign law enforcement entities interested in advancing their knowledge base in this arena.

Feb. 2009 - Aug. 2013 (Washington Field Office)

  • I conducted protective advances for high level heads of state visiting the US, while mentoring less-experienced agents by physically assisting them in coordinating the security advances for low and medium level dignitaries visiting the greater Washington, DC area (DMV).
  • I was tasked as the Group Leader for the Mobile Wireless Investigations Task Force, responsible for locating & arresting dangerous criminals in the DMV.

Dec. 2006 - Feb. 2009 (Dignitary Protective Division)

  • I was the National Special Security Events Coordinator for the US Secret Service. I spent my time leading multi-agency teams in coordinating several NSSEs to include the 2009 Presidential Inauguration, the 2008 State of the Union Address, the 2008 Papal Visit, the 2008 IMF/World Bank Sessions, the 2007 Queen of England's Visit, and the 2007 Annapolis Conference. This position also required bi-annual visits to the US Army War College in Carlisle, PA to instruct a week long block on Special Security Events methodology.
  • I was tasked as a Protective Detail Leader for foreign heads of state visiting the US, ensuring their personal safety while overseeing that all protective protocols were adhered to by assigned advance agents.

Mar. 2002 - Dec. 2009 (Presidential Protective Division)

  • My time on the President's Detail was divided between working close quarters protection in and around President George W. Bush, conducting complex security advances of sites to be visited by the President, conducting counter-surveillance vulnerability assessments to ensure that the outer perimeters of the President's movements were free from prospective ambushes, and acting as a supervisor to all of the aforementioned missions as my time on the President's Detail progressed.

Mar. 1997 - Mar. 2002 (Charlotte Field Office)

  • I was assigned to protect low level foreign dignitaries across the US, while also being tasked with numerous criminal investigations in and around the Charlotte, NC area. I also spent a year each on the Violent Crimes and Joint Terrorism Task Forces.
  • My investigative merits afforded me a one month temporary liaison assignment to the Metropolitan Police in London, England, where I was made privy to the tactics that English law enforcement used to stamp out the hooliganism that plagued English Football in Europe, a direct result of an UEFA 5 year ban for Liverpool's part in the 1985 Heysel tragedy.
