- Pregnancy testing, provide counseling if test is positive with options, schedule needed appointment to start Ob care Make sure patients applies for insurance if needed, schedule ultrasound for dating before seeing provider, schedule New Ob and dental appointment
- Negative test: provide counseling on birth control methods available for patients and information provided
- Take vital signs and health history to make sure patient is not a high risk pregnancy, if patient is at risk consult with Ob provider for instructions for visits and referrals
- Counseling on all birth control method available, IUD's, pill, shot, implant and sterilization Making sure all correct consent are signed and information on method given to pt Call pharmacy for refills needs for pills Schedule Gyn annual appointment to keep up to date
- Provide follow-up visit at three (3) months after method if initiated
- Prepare patients to be seen by provider, vital signs/height/weight, use EKG machine, prepare working area, documenting patient related procedure/tests in patients chart' health history and sterile techniques when necessary
- Maintain patient confidentiality at all levels of interactions
- Interpret for Spanish speaking patients
