NANNY EXPERIENCE

  • Sikes Family 2015-2017
  • I was connected to this family by a teacher through the Montessori School I was teaching at. I cared for a 2y/o, twin 8y/o, and oldest 13y/o. Through the day I was responsible for the youngest child. We would practice science, color matching, writing, art, songs, outdoor experiences and practical life skills. I would also be in charge of preparing breakfast and lunch, picking up brothers from school and small chores during the day.
  • - I loved my time with this family. We are still very close to this day and talk very often. We had a lot of outdoor adventures together, baked delicious foods, created fun experiments and swam at the pool often. They were a wonderful first experience in being a Nanny.
  • Schmidt Family 2017
  • This family had an infant girl. I was fully responsible for her care during the day. She was under her doctor’s care for gastrointestinal problems that I provided medication and physical exercises for her. We would do sensory skills, tummy time, and music.
  • - My favorite memories are sitting outside enjoying the sounds of nature and having afternoon walks for naptime. I learned a lot during this time and really enjoyed it.
  • Tesch Family 2018
  • I was a live in Nanny for this family. They had 5y/o twin girls, a 7y/o boy and a 16y/o brother. They lived in the country so we had a lot of access to fields, woods, creeks and some farm animals. They were under my care during the day after school and during the summer I had the opportunity to home school them through an online program. We worked on writing, reading, and some science.
  • - I still receive pictures from this family. Its so great to see them all growing up. This was a great opportunity for me to experience teaching at different levels. I loved all of the outdoor time we had and learning about the nature around them.
