  • We have to memorize all the drinks and what they have in them, which is a lot, but once you memorize it only gets easier
  • At this Starbucks there is a drive-thru, and we also have mobile orders
  • Sometimes they would make me a triple bar, which just meant that I was the only one in charge of drive-thru drinks, bar drinks, and mobile drinks
  • This process was helpful, because it only made you work faster and learn how to work at a manageable speed
  • We would also do spins, which is making sure that the cafe is clean and everything is stocked.

Volunteer Programs

  • Bethel Church, At Bethel church, I would stock cans and sort the food out to the places that they needed to be. Then sit down and wait for people to come and tell them how many they could grave.
  • Public library, At the library I would help set up events for the children. During the summer there were different events that the library had for the children such as arts and crafts.
  • Jefferson Elementary School, At Jefferson I would help the teacher with the kids and help them with their English. I would read books to them and help them with their homework.
  • Jefferson Preschool, I helped the teachers with cleaning up and organizing for the next day. I would interact with the kids when it came to recess or clean up.
  • Elementary Aide, 2 years I would help the teacher with grading and helped the kids that need more support with their work. I would make copies, take things down, sharpen pencils, help with labeling the books, etc.
  • Girls Inc, I was in this program called Girls Inc. for 7 years. Girls Inc. is a program where they encourage girls and celebrate them for who they are. They helped me with college, gave me an internship, helped with tutoring, etc.
  • APA, Alpha Pi Sigma is a sorority in which I am currently vice president, sergeant at arms, fundraising chair, academic chair, and also philanthropy chair. We volunteer in our community, as well as advocating for our philanthropy (HAVEN). We focus and prioritize our academics, after every semester is over we have to turn in our grades to make sure that every member is on the right path. We also do fundraisers and have other resources that help our members with what they need. We also currently have the highest GPA from all the sorority/fraternity on campus.
