My goal in the workplace is to share meaningful, positive, inspirational, and helpful contributions. I am eager to learn and grow as an educator and care giver.
As an Art Instructor with Dream Enrichment Classes, I independently manage and deliver structured art lessons to elementary school students in a safe, organized, and engaging classroom environment. My responsibilities include preparing and transporting lesson-specific materials, setting up instructional spaces, leading step-by-step drawing and coloring activities, communicating classroom expectations, taking attendance, and maintaining student engagement through clear instruction and effective classroom-management techniques. I provide individualized support by monitoring and praising students’ progress, answering questions, and assisting students throughout each lesson while ensuring activities remain on schedule. I also coordinate classroom helpers, manage the distribution and collection of art supplies, supervise student transitions and dismissal, follow established student-release procedures, and thoroughly clean and restore classrooms after each session. This role has strengthened my skills in communication, leadership, organization, time management, creativity, patience, responsibility, and independent classroom management.

As a front desk receptionist at a hair solon tailored towards children my responsibilities didn't only include answering phones and booking appointments for the hair stylists, pulling and filing client cards into their proper spots and providing friendly customer service by greeting and welcoming children and families upon arrival. I was also responsible for sanitizing the equipment used by the stylists and the toys provided to the children. I was required to keep the salon in clean condition according to California State Board of Cosmetology regulations. This would include sweeping the floor often, making sure all equipment has been stored properly and keeping the lobby in pristine condition. I enjoyed this work very much, I appreciated my coworkers and the many positive interactions I made with the clients and their families.

My time at Country Hill Montessori was an adventure and a learning experience that brought me to the knowledge that I want to make early childhood education my career. I was hired to be a “floater", this meant that I was sent wherever help was required. My duties had me working in all class rooms with children aged 18 months to 6 years old. This job had me doing simple tasks such as cleaning and organizing the class rooms and supplies and assisting my fellow teachers as well as the students. On a daily basis another head teacher and I would work together to make up the mats for naptime. I was in that position for a few months. Then I was promoted to an Assistant Teacher position working in the Pre-K classroom. In that area I collaborated with other staff to develop lesson plans, art projects and to produce and facilitate family events. I enjoyed forming strong relationships with my co-workers and the children. One of the most challenging, yet rewarding aspects of this position was to encourage and support my students with toilet training. I have successfully fully potty-trained multiple toddlers under the age of 3.

I started at Wings Tutorial Services as a student at the beginning of my 7th grade year. I wanted to work there during the summer after I graduated High School because Wings and my teacher, Stephanie Morris made a big positive impact on my life. My internship lasted six months, in that time I assisted staff and students in all capacities. My duties included one on one academic support with the students ages 5-20. I also assisted with physical education and art classes. During this time, I got some experience working along side children with learning disabilities. I helped assistant the students on the Autism spectrum. I was responsible for the well-being and supervision of the children at all times. A large part of my work was continuous and hyper vigilant sanitation of all work spaces used by students and staff. This was crucial as this was at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. When I wasn’t cleaning the school or helping other students, my priorities were focused on a part time student who was epileptic. I would provide physical support by helping them move and walk throughout the day but especially during physical education and actives. I was required to be on high alert the entire time that student was at school to ensure their safety, I was trained on what to do when someone with epilepsy starts seizing. I would also provide emotional support not just to this student but with my other students and coworkers by never not having a smile on my face. I'm very grateful for having had that opportunity and experience.
