I am currently working as a DSP in the Eichenauer Residential home. As a DSP, my job responsibilities are to shower, assist with hygiene care and feed them breakfast in the mornings. They have lunch and snack time at 3pm. During down time we take the residents to zumba classes, walks, music , arts and crafts or any activities that are available to them to attend during the day. DSP's are responsible for documenting injury, incidental and behavioral reports at the time a situation occurs with a resident. Lastly, bed checks are to be filled out every half hour along with brief changes or toileting.
I worked in the day care program working with children from ages 16 weeks to 5 years old. My responsibilities were to give kids morning snacks at 9am and prepare a lesson for circle time and movement so they can interact and engage with each other. If the weather is warm outside we would go to the playground, walk or we would have water play. At 12 staff are to prepare lunch and take out their cots to take a 2 hour nap from 1 to 3. Throughout the day we have a set schedule to take children to the bathroom as they continue to potty train.
I worked Inventory control at a warehouse that made metal pieces for aerospace parts. My responsibility as Inventory control was ordering everyday materials that were used and counting what was in the warehouse everyday. I had to pack metal pieces for bulk shipment to Asia and Canada that were due every three months. There were packing slips and orders that had to be printed out to know what metal pieces are supposed to be shipped
As a cashier I worked a lot of Customer service at the front and checking out customers when they finish shopping. Along with customer service I was working the photo booth, returns and doing online orders for shoppers who shopped online so customers were able to pick them up at the store. After every shift staff were expected to sweep and mop the floors and face the shelves every night. On Sunday nights I emptied the truck out and put out the bins with new product t the end of the shelves so that it can be put away the next morning or during our down time in between shifts
As a cashier at shoprite I was in charge of checking out customers and dealing with customer service and helping people shop throughout the store or use the kiosk. In between customers we would put our returns away and fill up the soda machines. At the end of our shift we had to count our register making sure that we were not short and clean off our register.
