Being a server and a host as well has taught me the absolute most about customer service and connecting with your costumers to make sure they feel welcomed and safe.

I’ve learned as a server that it is very important your customers orders are just how they want it, and to constantly check on them and make sure they are okay. The same goes for hosting, making sure the costumers are sat in a certain part of the restaurant they want and are comfortable with, as well as making sure where they are sitting in the restaurant is clean, that goes the same for serving.

I am also trained in host training so i know how to show people how they can be the best at their job.

You are the first people that costumers see when you walk in you want to be as safe, welcoming and have a smile on your face. Bonds with your fellow front of the house workers are just as important as back of the house to continue to work smoothly!

Working in the kitchen has taught me more than i could ever know about working in a restaurant. Working this position has taught that one of my strongest suits is multi-tasking, and taking control when it’s needed.

Some of the things i have to do are, prepping and plating the food that goes out to the customers, answering the phone to take to-go orders as well as bagging and prepping the orders with best order accuracy, and taking cash and credit payments.

One of the major things i have learned about working in a restaurant that can be so fast paced, is that having good relationships with your coworkers and working as a unit to keep everything flowing and successful so you can have loyal and new consumers continuing to come back.
