Dedicated educational admInistrator with 24 years of experience, IncludIng a decade as an adjunct professor. I have served In various leadership roles, IncludIng assistant prIncipal, prIncipal, and district admInistrator, overseeIng teams at both the school and district levels. As a school principal, I led a faculty and staff of 113 members, while at the district level, I managed a division of 200 professionals. As the Executive Director of Instructional Extension and Support and former Executive Director of Learning Support Services, my team is committed to removing barriers to student learning and providing instruction to the gifted. We believe that all students can succeed, and it is our mission to create the conditions that support their growth. By working closely with families, teachers, and community partners, we identify challenges and develop solutions that help students achieve their goals. Previously, as Director of MTSS/State and Federal Programs, I managed state and federal funding exceeding $11 million annually. My leadership has contributed to measurable academic growth, particularly among ESOL students and those receiving RTI (Response to Intervention) services. Our chronic absenteeism rate decreased from 20% to 17% within a two-year period. As a transformational leader, I build team capacity and foster a collaborative culture to drive exceptional results. Beyond my district leadership roles, I have contributed to higher education by teaching Master of Education courses in Educational Leadership. I hold a Ph.D. in Educational Administration from the University of South Carolina (2009), certifying me as a superintendent. My research has been published in educational leadership journals, covering topics such as leading high-poverty schools, professional development, the use of technology in education, and school transformation. In addition to my work in education, I have served on various boards, including the Richland County First Steps Board, Newberry College Board of Managers, Sisters of Charity Healthy Learners Trustee, President’s Diversity Task Force at Newberry College, and the Newberry College Athletic Club Advisory Board. My objective is to secure a superintendent position in a high-quality school district where I can continue to develop future leaders by leveraging my expertise, experience, and passion for student success.
