Organized and dependable candidate successful at managing multiple priorities with a positive attitude. Willingness to take on added responsibilities to meet team goals.
- Complete front office responsibilities, such as greeting patients, checking out patients, answering phones, and assisting patients in scheduling appointments.
- Having worked at a large and busy office, some of the tasks were split up between team members, so my primary responsibilities were anything to do with insurance and billing.
1. Insurance: Ensuring that all patients had the proper insurance imputed into Dentrix, as well as making accurate treatment plans to go over with patients prior to treatment.
2. Billing: Making sure that patients had an adequate understanding prior to treatment what their financial responsibilities would be, as well as ensuring that they had a plan to pay their portion, whether it be in full or in multiple payments. This also consisted of calling patients after the insurance claim came back and letting them know if anything had changed. For example, if they owed more or less depending on if their insurance covered too much or not as much as anticipated.
- Communicate with patients in a friendly and welcoming manner, as well as give my best efforts to ensure they felt comfortable at the dental office.
- Being adaptable to change. I had to learn everything from scratch, as I had no prior experience in a dental office setting, as well as with dental software. I was able to learn Denticon and my responsibilities quickly, and then my office converted to Dentrix in the midst of my time there. I feel I was able to adapt adequately and in a fast manner.
