  • Patient evaluation: perform initial patient assessments and follow up exams for screening and detection of various skin cancers and skin disorders.
  • Assist in Mohs surgery as primary role, preparing patients for their procedure, identification of surgical site, assist in Mohs layers and achieving hemostasis, and assist in all closures.
  • Performs shave biopsies, punch biopsies, wide local excisions, and cryotherapy treatments.
  • Provides post-operative instructions and manage any post-operative complication or concern.
  • Continuing education: regularly attends dermatology and dermoscopic conferences to remain up to date on most current practices.
  • Administrative tasks: assists in the scheduling and placement of surgical patients to facilitate and good flow of schedule, constructs appeal letters to insurance companies for denials related to patient care
  • Collaborative care: works alongside other healthcare professionals including other dermatologists and PAs, primary doctors, etc to ensure better overall patient care and satisfaction.
