I have 26 years of governmental service. I have experience from November 2000 – April 2012 within the Postal Service as an executive administrative assistant. During this role I was responsible for the day-to-day workflow, organizing meetings and appointments, preparing PowerPoint presentations, making travel arrangements, planning events recording notes during meetings, filling, interoffice mail, handled sensitive information by corresponding through email or face to face. I interviewed and onboard employees in this role and handled invoices. All my work was completed with limited to no supervision at times. I would act on behalf of the executives in their absence as well as respond to emails in a timely manner, I would determine whether a matter was deemed an emergency or was it something that I could handle without oversight. I’ve planned large events, worked within timelines and under high demands. My primary role was to collaborative closely with my executive leader by providing direct support, efficiently managing, and organizing calendars and schedules, assisting with task, prioritizing day to day activities, responding to customer’s needs, maintaining email inboxes ensuring responses were timely, overseeing staff needs and basic office operations were met, conducting research, and providing findings. I have supported as many as 3 simultaneously. I’ve supported executive leadership by planning, preparing for meetings and training. I have strong a problem-solving ability; I’m proficient in MS office, excel, typing, google workspace, MS teams and preparing presentations.
