Alexis Sangeleer

As a Planner, my role includes, but is not limited to, analyzing development-related data and plans, and providing input on neighborhood, site, and master plans, and design guidelines. Additionally, my role also includes making presentations to advisory committees, the public, City Commission, and neighborhood meetings; and performing related duties as assigned.

As an Associate Planner, my role included reviewing building permits and business tax applications for compliance with City of West Palm Beach zoning ordinances and code regulations. The position also included collecting and analyzing data and conducting site visits related to building permits/cases.

As a Planning Intern for the town of Sandwich, I worked with the local town planners as well as the planning committee to help create the towns local comprehensive plan. This role included assisting with research and GIS mapping.

As a bartender, I was responsible for providing high-quality customer service to the guests and members. By filling drink orders for guests, answering questions about drink ingredients, and making suggestions for different types of beverages and cocktails.

My role as a server consisted of greeting customers, assisting with seating requests and arrangements as needed, taking orders, carrying trays of food and drinks to tables, accommodating requests for dietary restrictions, and assisting the bartenders when they needed help.

As a research assistant, I worked alongside my professor with conducting research on the Bear Hole Aquifer. This study helped determine the viability of keeping the land as water sources. Ultimately, the research predicted the long-term future of the site. As an assistant, I collect data for social research and analyze numerical data using statistical software.

• Organized and analyzed qualitative and quantitative data using statistical software packages, such as SPSS.

My role as an oceanfront lifeguard consists of securing safety for beachgoers and swimmers.

• Performed emergency rescues when necessary.
• By maintaining a close eye on everything going on around my zone.
• Prepared detailed incident reports following accidents or other incidents.

As a Traffic Technician, I was involved in the process of creating solutions for roads and intersections. Some of my responsibilities included setting up tubes and boxes across roads, and downloading results into the computer to be dispersed to the local planners and engineers. I also attended planning meetings that discussed the problem with high-volume summer traffic on Cape Cod.

• Developed strategies to reduce congestion at intersections.
• Reviewed accident reports for trends and roadway safety issues.

As a lifeguard for the New Seabury Country Club, my role consisted of implementing all water safety policies and procedures; supervising members and guests in and around the swimming pools and beachfront.

As a lifeguard/swim instructor, I supervised the aquatic facilities' indoor and outdoor activities to ensure the safety of all those involved. I also helped maintain all areas of the pool by conducting daily pool maintenance, including testing and adjusting chemical levels.

• Provided swimming instruction to individuals and groups of all ages.
• Demonstrated proper technique for each stroke, including freestyle, backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly.
